This is the second spring of the pandemic. As we head into our second Easter, we remember the spirit of the holiday’s celebration: renewal.
We have endured so much over the past year. Isolation. Anxiety. And loss.
But throughout, we have risen to all the challenges we’ve faced. As committed public sector workers, OPSEU/SEFPO members have heroically risked their own health and safety on the front lines of this crisis in order to get Ontarians through it.
Unfortunately, it’s not over yet. As many folks mark Easter, they will be celebrating the holiday’s spirit of renewal, a powerful reminder that when we renew our resolve, we renew our hope.
We hope that the pandemic will soon pass and for all of us, a new kind of life will begin.
And to all of those observing Easter, we wish you a warm, happy, and hopeful celebration of all that life offers.
